Apparently when Yolanda Foster says she has Lyme disease, that is just a guess. According to David Foster, Yolanda has never received an official diagnosis from any doctor that she has Lyme disease. To make things even more crazy she has never gone to get a second or third opinion about her condition. To me, it looks like she is in doctor’s offices and hospital beds all over the world getting treatment for something. David Foster says he is not even sure what is wrong with her but that he has spent $5M treating whatever it is that she thinks she has. He says that she loves the attention she gets from being perceived as ill and that attention is making her stay in bed more often and seek out even more medical attention.
What I see in her future is either a new stepdad for the kids or stopping her treatment because she does not have enough money on her own to keep paying for it. I think that when she realizes she does not have millions of dollars to pay for it all that she will suddenly be cured except for sweeps weeks or when she needs to find an excuse to not participate in something.
David Foster says that he became suspicious of how serious the disease really was when Yolanda agreed to do Real Housewives. Yolanda says she is doing the show this season to bring awareness to the disease. David says she is doing it to bring more attention to herself and get more sympathy.
